Around the residential areas that full of continuous hills up and down in Gianicolense district, you can see a small park wedged between the road and the houses. In an area that is beginning to be peripheral, Garden Fosso Bravetta is an excellent example that public spaces are self-managed by citizens to make up for shortcomings of institutions.
Volunteer members of the Fosso Bravetta Association take care of the park, have set up a structure equipped with toilets and games for children in order to accommodate small parties. All in contrast to the state of semi-abandonment in which the AMA bins lie in front of the entrance.
The area is embellished by the system of urban gardens that revolve around public parks. Inside this garden, the toolboxes with house numbers are surrounded by the vegetable gardens managed by the residents of the area. At the end of the summer, we can see almost ripe eggplants, peppers and chillies, as well as the sprouts of many other vegetables.
